How this works, briefly
The cortisol-testosterone cascade
Chronic cortisol suppresses testosterone production at the hypothalamic level. The ECS modulates that stress axis. A depleted ECS means a poorly regulated cascade, not a fixed decline.
A direct gonadal connection
Receptor sites in the testes tie the ECS directly to testosterone production. It isn't just a downstream effect of hormone levels. It's an upstream regulator of them.
Sleep is the production window
The large majority of daily testosterone is produced during deep sleep. The ECS governs sleep architecture, so a depleted system degrades the production window directly.
